Why Franklin
Franklin is part of the Tacoma Whole Child Initiative, a partnership with Tacoma Public Schools and the University of Washington Tacoma. Through the Whole Child Initiative, Franklin teachers and staff receive guidance, support, and tools, including the implementation of a Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) model. PBIS rewards and recognizes positive behavior and helps to create a safe, positive and nurturing environment for all students. Teachers use data and research to make decisions and create lesson plans.
