Before / After Care

Childcare will be onsite at DeLong Elementary. Before and after school transportation will be provided. 

YMCA Before and After School Program

The YMCA provides on-site licensed before and after school care for elementary families from 7:15 a.m. to 6 p.m.. YMCA Before and After School programs focus on safety, health, social growth, and academic enrichment for children ages 5-12. For information about rates and to learn more, visit ymcapkc.org/childcare or visit your school office.

Financial Assistance, fee subsidy for qualifying military families, DSHS, and other Third Party Provider assistance is available.

Register Online

1. Visit https://mycommunity.ymcapkc.org/s/registration
2. Under the Categories tab on the left, select Licensed Childcare, then select Tacoma Public Schools
3. Select the course listed as Registration Fee 23-24 and complete the steps for the $50 registration fee.
4. Once the fee is processed, you should receive an email with a link to complete the registration application. If you do not receive an email with a link, please email childcare@ymcapkc.org.
